Binaural beats refer to an auditory illusion that occurs when two slightly different frequencies are played into each ear, but are processed as one fixed sound. You'll find them in the Sounds section of our app, under the Brainwave tab:

Binaural beats frequencies can be enjoyed solo, or added to your mix. Due to the nature of these sounds, only 1 binaural beat can be listened to at a time. In order for them to work effectively, headphones are required when listening to binaural beats. We currently offer the following binaural beats in BetterSleep:

Dreamless Sleep (Delta 2.5 Hz)

Deep Sleep (Mid Theta 5 Hz)

Relaxation (Mid Alpha 10 Hz)

Dreams (Low Theta 4 Hz)

Pre-Sleep (Low Alpha 8 Hz)

Focus (Beta 20 Hz)
