BetterSleep offers integration with both Apple Health (iOS) and Health Connect (Android) to enhance sleep tracking experience. Here’s an overview of how each integration works and what to expect:
Apple Health (iOS)
BetterSleep can receive sleep data from your Apple Watch through Apple Health.
One-Way Sync (Current Functionality):
For now, the app only receives sleep data from Apple Health if you’ve tracked your sleep using your Apple Watch. This means sleep data recorded in BetterSleep won’t sync back to Apple Health yet.
Our team is working on enabling bidirectional sync, so BetterSleep can share sleep data back with Apple Health in the future. Stay tuned for updates!
When you enable Apple Health integration, the app will provide more details to guide you through the setup process.
Health Connect (Android)
BetterSleep offers two options for syncing sleep data through Health Connect:
Health Connect Sync:
If you’ve installed the Health Connect app, BetterSleep can share sleep data directly with it, making it easy to centralize your health information.
Sleep Data Toggle (Automatic Sleep Tracking):
Designed for Android users with a smartwatch that tracks sleep independently. This option allows BetterSleep to receive sleep data from your smartwatch, similar to how the Apple Health integration works on iOS.
Note:
Health Connect Sync and the Sleep Data Toggle are independent features and work differently. You can choose one or both, depending on your needs. Our team is exploring ways to add more in-app guidance for the Sleep Data Toggle to avoid confusion.
If you have any further questions about these integrations, feel free to reach out to us through the Help & Support section in the app. We're always happy to help!😊
